A: Asking for help from a professional you don't know can sometimes feel scary. But working with a therapist you come to trust can help you sort through your feelings and discover a path to relief from the problems you are facing. You may feel less alone. In addition, you can develop new skills for managing difficulties and empowering your life.
Q: How will I know if therapy is right for me?
A: I offer a complimentary, face-to-face consultation in my office before we begin therapy. As we talk, you will probably have a clearer idea if you are comfortable with starting therapy.
Q: How long will our sessions be?
A: Sessions for individuals last one hour in length and couples sessions last one hour, 15 minutes. We generally meet once a week. It is possible to meet more often if you find yourself going through a particularly difficult time. I can provide options to meet your individual needs.
Q: How long will I be in therapy?
A: You have a unique situation, set of life experiences and needs. My overall goal for you will be to put you on a course of positive well-being. Therapy is a flexible process, however, involving us working together. And together we will determine how long therapy will last. We can talk about it any time.
Q: How will I know if you are the right therapist for me?
A: Important question! Like any relationship, we want to be a good "fit." You want to feel comfortable and confident in my care. I want to feel that I can help you, and that my specialties compliment your needs. That's why I offer an initial complimentary consultation before we begin therapy. After we meet and address your questions and concerns, you will have a sense of whether or not I am the right therapist for you.

Q: Do you accept insurance?
A: I am an out-of-network provider. However, many common insurance carriers with PPO plans will reimburse a good amount toward our work together. For more detail on rates and insurance, please click here.
Q: What is your parking situation?
A: I provide free garage parking in the building.
Q: Do you provide disability access?
A: Yes. I provide on-site parking and elevator access.
